Bethel Township

Hit-and-run crash – At 6:55 p.m. Nov. 19, an eastbound vehicle struck a legally parked 2006 Toyota Matrix in the 100 block of East Main Street. The vehicle continued east on East Main Street without stopping.

City of Lebanon

Toys for Tots 2023 – ‘Tis the season for giving! The Lebanon City Police Department is participating in Toys for Tots. If you would like to donate to Toys for Tots, please drop off new, unwrapped toys at the Lebanon City Hall Lobby, 735 Cumberland St., Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Toys will be accepted until Dec. 15. City police officers are continuing with the No Shave November into December. To participate, the officers are donating toys to the Lebanon County Marine Corps League Toys for Tots program to forgo their department’s shaving policy for the month of December. This year, they are hoping to help over 3,000 children, from infant to the age of 15. All the toys and money donations that the police department receives in Lebanon County will stay in Lebanon County.

Theft of a firearm from a motor vehicle – At approximately 3:57 a.m. Nov. 21, the subject (pictured below) entered a vehicle on the 500 block of Chestnut Street, removed a firearm, and continued west on Chestnut Street. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Lebanon City Police Department.

PFA order violation – Police charged Taquan Bradford, 31, with violating a PFA issued by the Court of Common Pleas after Bradford contacted the victim through text messages on Oct. 25. Bradford was also charged after approaching the victim on Nov. 24 on the 800 block of South 12th Street, verbally threatening and harassing the victim.

Simple assault – Police charged Ashley Sutherly, 38, with simple assault after she allegedly struck the victim with a glass candle holder, causing lacerations to the victim’s face, on the 700 block of Lehman Street.

Theft, firearm, drug possession – Police charged Ashley Crawford, 36, with theft by unlawful taking, person not to possess a firearm, and possession of drug paraphernalia after she went to a residence on the 800 block of Quentin Road on Nov. 25 and allegedly stole a .45-caliber pistol. When Crawford was arrested a short time later, she had drug paraphernalia in her possession.

Weapon charge, drug possession – Police charged Darren Gladish, 28, with make repairs/sell/etc. offensive weapon, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia after police were called to the 800 block of Quentin Road on Nov. 25 for a well-being check. When an officer asked Gladish to step out of his vehicle, drug paraphernalia fell from his person. During the officer’s investigation, he also found drugs and a prohibitive offensive weapon (four-finger brass knuckles).

Drug possession – Police charged Daniel Spatz, 22, with possession of a small amount of marijuana after an officer approached Spatz’s vehicle on the 700 block of East Lehman Street on Oct. 7 and observed a strong odor of marijuana. Spatz consented to a search, and the officer found a partially consumed hand-rolled marijuana cigar on the driver’s seat.

Simple assault – Police charged Paul Trace, 41, with simple assault after he struck a female in the ribcage several times and twice in the face with his fist on Oct. 27 on the 100 block of South Gannon Street. The punches caused significant pain, discomfort and a laceration to the female’s left ear.

Criminal trespass – Police charged Carol Kneasel, 59, with criminal trespass after she entered a private residence on the 700 block of Guilford Street on Oct. 25 despite “No Trespassing” signs posted.

East Hanover Township

DUI crash – At 4:22 p.m. Nov. 30, a 2021 Subaru Outback driven by Karen Lesher, 66, of Grantville, was traveling north on Gravel Hill Road, approaching Allentown Boulevard, which is controlled by a stop sign. A 2005 Honda Element driven by a 40-year-old Cleona man was traveling east on Allentown Boulevard, approaching Gravel Hill Road when the Subaru proceeded into the intersection without proper clearance and was struck by the Honda. Lesher was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a suspected minor injury, and was transported via Life Lion EMS to the Hershey Medical Center. The Cleona man was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. Police charged Lesher with DUI.

Heidelberg Township

Theft – At 6:49 p.m. Nov. 29, a 61-year-old Myerstown woman purchased gift cards for what she believed to be Apple support and sent the money via text message. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP Jonestown.

Jackson Township

Vehicle accident – A westbound 2014 Ford Edge driven by a 77-year-old Myerstown woman, accompanied by an 81-year-old Myerstown man, was pulled off to the right shoulder in the 600 block of West Lincoln Avenue and attempted to make a U-turn when it was struck a westbound 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a 39-year-old Macungie man at 2:10 p.m. Nov. 27. The Ford also struck a mailbox. The Myerstown couple was wearing seatbelts, sustained injuries of unknown severity, and were transported via Myerstown First Aid Unit to Hershey Medical Center. The Macungie man was wearing a seatbelt and sustained a possible injury but refused transport.

Vehicle accident – At 1:57 p.m. Nov. 29, a crash occurred as a 2013 Dodge Avenger driven by a 25-year-old Reading man was traveling east on King Street and became disabled at the intersection with South Ramona Road. The man got out of the Dodge and pushed the vehicle onto South Ramona Road, where it hit a mailbox in the 200 block.

North Londonderry Township

Loitering and prowling at night, defiant trespass – At 6:02 p.m. Nov. 9, police charged Kenneth Betz, 59, of Palmyra, with loitering and prowling at night and defiant trespass after an incident on the 1300 block of Park Drive.

Vehicle accident, vehicle turning left – Police cited a 19-year-old Palmyra man with vehicle turning left in connection with a crash on Main Street at Walmart at 7:54 p.m. Nov. 28. The Palmyra man turned left in front of a westbound vehicle driven by a 20-year-old Annville man. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Palmyra Borough

Bench warrants – At 8:39 p.m. Nov. 14, police responded to the 600 block of North Railroad Street for a possible wanted person. Police located Eric Steele, 43, hiding inside a residence. Steele had two bench warrants out of Lebanon County for failure to appear, with the original charges being DUI and simple assault, so he was arrested and transported to LCCB for processing.

South Lebanon Township

Unsworn falsification to authorities – On July 2, Izaa Culler, 20, attempted to purchase a firearm at Shyda’s Outdoor Center, at 1635 S. Lincoln Ave., while not being legally permitted to do so. Police charged Culler with unsworn falsification to authorities.

DUI, duties at stop signs – On Sept. 2, police responded to a crash on State Drive and Schaeffer Road and learned that the driver, Scott Kleaver, 54, was under the influence of alcohol. Kleaver’s BAC was 0.281% at the time of the crash. Police charged Kleaver with DUI (tier three, third offense), DUI-general impairment, and duties at stop signs.

Possession with intent to deliver, drug possession – At 10:40 p.m. May 26, police pulled over a vehicle on the 1900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue and learned that a passenger, Lauquan Shaw, 30, was in possession of suspected cocaine and methamphetamine. Upon receipt of test results from the Pennsylvania State Police Crime Laboratory, police charged Shaw with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance.

Arrest warrant – On Nov. 15, South Lebanon Township police issued an arrest warrant for Ericberto Junior Rios, 34, for attempting to purchase a firearm while not being legally able to do so.

Altered, forged, or counterfeit documents and plates, false reports to law enforcement – At approximately 10:28 a.m. May 18, police pulled over a vehicle on the 700 block of East Walnut Street. Police learned that counterfeit inspection and emission stickers were being displayed on the vehicle and charged the driver, Jessica Miller, 25, with altered, forged, or counterfeit documents and plates and false reports to law enforcement authorities.

DUI, traffic-control signals – At approximately 2:39 a.m. Oct. 29, police pulled over a vehicle on South Lincoln Avenue and learned that the driver, Caden Ebersole, 18, was under the influence of alcohol. Ebersole’s BAC was 0.142% at the time of the incident. Police charged Ebersole with DUI-highest rate, DUI-general impairment, and traffic-control signals.

Sale or transfer of firearms, unsworn falsification to authorities – On Aug. 31, 2022, Julio Santos-Martinez, 53, attempted to purchase a firearm at Shyda’s Outdoor Center, at 1635 S. Lincoln Ave., while not being legally able to do so. Police charged Santos-Martinez with sale or transfer of firearms and unsworn falsification to authorities.

Sale or transfer of firearms, unsworn falsification to authorities – On Sept. 20, 2022, Raheem Larrier, 43, attempted to purchase a firearm at Dunham’s Sporting Goods, at 829 E. Walnut St., while not being legally able to do so. Police charged Larrier with sale or transfer of firearms and unsworn falsification to authorities.

Union Township

Theft – At 3:10 p.m. Nov. 2, an unidentified person entered the Lebanon Federal Credit Union’s Jonestown bank and withdrew $2,500 from checking and savings accounts belonging to a 36-year-old Lebanon man. The suspect used a fake military ID with the suspect’s photo and the victim’s name and date of birth for identification to access the accounts. The suspect committed the same crime at the Lebanon Federal Credit Union’s Campbelltown branch office an hour earlier, using the personal information of another victim on a fake U.S. passport card to make a fraudulent withdrawal of funds.
