LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
The Pet of the Week sometimes features a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the column spotlights an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.
This week, meet adoptable Malcolm!
Malcolm is a 2-year-old cane corso mix with a “permanent puppy face,” says Pitties.Love.Peace rep Mika Stiefel.
Mika says this boy is “loving and snuggly with his trusted humans” and he “enjoys going for walks and playing with his toys, especially stuffies.” He’s also eager to learn, she says, “but does not know his own size.” He’s a crate Houdini, she adds, meaning he’ll need a heavy-duty crate.
Malcolm would do best in a home without children or other animals, and he’s “slow to warm up to new people and prefers to keep a tight inner circle,” Mika says.
“His ideal home has plenty of room for him to run and show off his playful side,” she says. The shelter is “looking for a strong leader committed to ongoing training and maintaining a structured environment to help him be his very best.” Someone who has experience with cane corsos would be best.
