Cornwall-Lebanon School District announced the appointment of Nicholas Lambros, Jr., as the new head football coach at Cedar Crest High School, effective from the board’s regular meeting on February 12, 2024.

Lambros steps into the role following the resignation of Rob Wildasin, who led the Falcon football program to success over the past decade.

Lambros brings to the role over two decades of experience with Cedar Crest football, including the last seven years as defensive coordinator. His tenure at Cedar Crest includes positions such as assistant football coach under three head coaches, coaching offensive and defensive lines, and overseeing special teams.

A Cedar Crest alumnus, Lambros graduated in 1998, where he distinguished himself as a team captain and garnered 1st Team All-County and All-League Linebacker honors. Post-high school, he was recruited by Bloomsburg University, contributing to the team as a linebacker for one red-shirt year.

Lambros holds a Bachelor of Arts in history and a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction from Bloomsburg, along with a Master of Arts in history from American Public University, W.V. He returned to the Cornwall-Lebanon School District in 2004 to serve as the coordinator of the on-campus alternative education program. For the last 17 years he has taught social studies at Cedar Crest High School.

“Coaching is an extension of teaching,” said Lambros in a statement. “My ultimate dream has been to provide the same kind of positive experiences to our student athletes that I was afforded as a student at Cedar Crest.”

“I am confident I can provide the kind of coaching and student athlete development within our football program that will make the school and community proud to be Falcons.”
