Bethel Township
Assault – Around 9:20 a.m. Feb. 28, police responded to a report of a physical assault between a motorist and a crossing guard at around 3:15 p.m. Feb. 27 at the intersection of North Pine Grove and East Main streets. Video surveillance footage will be reviewed. Anyone with any information regarding the incident is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194 and reference incident number PA2024-264835.
City of Lebanon
Arrest warrant – On Feb. 27, police issued an arrest warrant against Mario Vidal, 48, with the original charge being felony home improvement fraud.
Millcreek Township
Vehicle accident – At 2:55 p.m. Jan. 20, a 2015 Subaru Outback driven by a 20-year-old Reading man was traveling east on SR 497. The man reported that he was traveling in the right lane, began turning left with the curve in the road, and lost control of his vehicle, striking a utility pole on the left side of the road. The Subaru sustained disabling damage to its rear driver’s side tire and bumper. He was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. The Subaru was towed by Sheidy’s Towing. Police charged him with driving vehicle at safe speed.
North Lebanon Township
Simple assault – Police charged Abbie Hehnly with simple assault after an incident at Green Acres Trailer Park on Feb. 13.
Retail theft – Police charged Christian Varela with retail theft after failing to pay for merchandise worth $177.62.
North Londonderry Township
DUI, careless driving – Police charged Hem Bhattarai, 42, of Palmyra, with two counts of DUI, careless driving, driving on roadways laned for traffic, and driving on right side of roadway after a single-vehicle crash at 9:48 p.m. Feb. 7 on the 400 block of South Lingle Avenue. Bhattarai’s BAC was .146% at the time of the crash.
Drug possession – At 2:41 a.m. Jan. 26, police charged Tiffany Eisenhauer, 42, of Myerstown, with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a vehicle equipment violation after an incident on the 400 block of Plaza Drive.
Firearm not to be carried without a license – At 4:44 a.m. Dec. 23, police charged Santos Rodriguez-Cruz, 30, last known address in Lebanon, after he was found with a loaded firearm in a vehicle that he was a passenger in on the 1100 block of West Main Street.
Palmyra Borough
Smoke detector installation – Citizen’s Fire Company No. 1 is participating in the American Red Cross home fire campaign. As part of the campaign, the fire company will install smoke detectors in homes in Palmyra Borough and North Londonderry Township, free of charge. See the flyer below for more details.
Holes drilled in gas tanks – The Palmyra Borough Police Department is investigating two incidents of Criminal Mischief and Theft. Two reports of vehicles having holes drilled into their gas tanks and suspected theft of the tanks’ contents of fuel were reported. Both vehicles were Dodge pick up trucks. One incident occurred to the rear of Black Swan Antiques, 61 West Front Street and the other occurred in a private lot off the 200 block of North Forge Road. These incidents occurred between Monday, Feb. 25, and Thursday, Feb. 28. Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to contact the Palmyra Borough Police Department, 717-838-8189, or submit a tip through Crime Watch.
South Londonderry Township
Assault – Police charged David Lenker, 65, of Hershey, with aggravated assault and simple assault after an incident on the 00 block of Bachmanville Road at 3:50 a.m. Aug. 19, when an ambulance was dispatched for a subject having difficulty breathing. EMS could not locate the patient and attempted to speak with Lenker regarding the report when he reportedly produced a rifle and pointed it at them, causing them to flee the location.
Swatara Township
Retail theft – At 3:46 p.m. Feb. 19, police responded to 19 Old Route 22 for a report of retail theft. Police determined that Justin Porter, 35, of Jonestown, used fraudulent U.S. currency to pay for groceries at BG’s Value Market in Jonestown.
West Lebanon Township
Controlled substance by person not registered, theft – Police charged Jamie Stewart, of Lebanon, with controlled substance by person not registered and theft by taking removable property after an incident at Rutter’s in which he took a purse from the gambling area. When arrested, he was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance.
Retail theft – Police charged John Prozzillo with retail theft after failing to pay for $200 worth of merchandise at Boscov’s Department Store on Feb. 17.
