Bon appétit!

Welcome to the inaugural season of our highly anticipated Lebanon Valley Hoagie Wars. Four entrants from the Valley will compete to be declared the winner of Best Hoagie in The Valley.

Our judgement will be based upon several factors including style of quality, composition, taste, and overall impression. We will only be judging one hoagie from each.

We continue our first season on the south side of Lebanon at DiNunzio’s Hoagie. They are located at Poplar Street and 8th Street.

This hoagie shop offers 16 different hoagie options on its menu, ranging from $10 to $10.75.

Our selection for judgement today was the Old Italian ($10.25) with LTO, oil & seasoning and mayo on a soft roll. This hoagie comes with capicola, natural casing Genoa salami, and aged sharp provolone.

The hoagie loaded with meats in relation to its veggies. The tomatoes are diced and minimal. The hoagie did fall apart on us several times during eating. The flavor was robust, and the spices added a noticeable addition to the bite. The roll and meats were quality selections.

Did we just have the best hoagie in the Valley?

Next up we will travel to our other entrants: Hauz ‘O Hoagies and Rocco’s. After which, we will announce our winner.
