Our judgement will be based upon several factors including style of quality, portion, taste, and overall impression. We will be judging two breakfast dishes from each restaurant.

We conclude our first season down on the north side of Lebanon city. Located in the historic brewery along N. 7th Street is Lebanon Valley Craft Brewery. This restaurant serves breakfast on the weekends only.

The menu includes omelets, Eggs Benedict, and french toast. It also has spiked breakfast cocktails on the menu.

Our selection for judgement this morning is the Meat Lover’s omelet ($12) and Bacon Jam Benedict ($12). We also had the spiked coffee ($8) and the Swatara Sunrise ($10). The meat lover’s omelet comes with ham, bacon, sausage, your choice of cheese, home fries (with or without onions) and toast.

The omelet was hearty but the meat inside seemed to be mostly ham on the inside. The home fries are Dutch fries’ style, not what we usually find around here.

The Bacon Jam Benedict is two poached eggs on top of an English muffin with bacon jam, Monterey Jack cheese with home fries. This dish is a tasty one. The English muffin is very fluffy, almost like a biscuit. For us, that worked very well and something we will look to get again.

Did we just have the best breakfast in the Valley?

We will now compare our score cards, tally our votes and we will announce our winner on soon.
