Editor’s Note: In 2021, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!

Welcome to our highly anticipated Lebanon Valley Pho Wars. There will be a total of four entrants: Ninh Kieu, Pho Yummy, Pho Bar & Grill, and PhoVina

We begin this war at a location that was the first ever review for the critic crew three and a half years ago, Pho Yummy.

Located near Target in North Cornwall Township, Pho Yummy has several pho options to try. Our selections this evening were Brisket Pho and Shrimp Pho.

Our Pho was a delightful experience, with a rich and aromatic broth that had a strong onion flavor, with plenty of onions within as well.

The brisket was incredibly tender, melting in your mouth with each bite, adding a savory depth to the dish.

The garnishes, including fresh herbs and crisp vegetables, added a vibrant, refreshing contrast to the warmth of the soup.

Midway through, I upped the spice level with chili paste, and for this critic, it was FIRE!

Did we just have the best Pho in the Valley?
