Endangering the welfare of children – On Jan. 9, police charged Faith Viera, 25, with felony endangering the welfare of children after an incident on the 400 block of North 9th Street.
Person not to possess firearms, drug possession – On Jan. 10, police charged Jose Fazel, 36, with felony person not to possess firearms, felony firearms not to be carried without a license, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident on the 00 block of North 7th Street.
Retail theft – On Jan. 13, police charged Hernan Campos-Fernandez, 39, with felony retail theft after he removed about $120 worth of merchandise from a business located on the 900 block of Church Street.
Simple assault – On Jan. 13, police charged Zechariah McLaughlin, 25, with simple assault (domestic violence-related) after police responded to a domestic disturbance on the 00 block of North 6th Street.
Retail theft – Lebanon city police are investigating a retail theft that occurred Jan. 13 at Family Dollar, 306 Cumberland St. If anyone can identify the individual pictured below, contact Patrolman Shearer at 717-272-6611 or submit a tip through CRIMEWATCH.
Lebanon City Police Department K9 Unit donation – The Lebanon City Police Department, Officer Secoges, and her canine partner Ares would like to extend their gratitude to Yianni Paliometoros and Amras Alacea for donating a medical kit to the K9 unit on behalf of the late Ashley Reinbold Paliometros. This contribution will greatly benefit the police department’s canine officers and the important work they do in keeping our community safe. North Londonderry Township
Fraudulent registration plate, fraudulent insurance card – At 1:19 a.m. Dec. 26, police pulled over a vehicle on the 1200 block of West Main Street in Annville for no registration lights illuminated at night. During the stop, police found that the PA temporary registration plate on the vehicle was fraudulent and the provided insurance card was also fraudulent. The fraudulent documents were seized, and the vehicle was towed. Police charged Abel Ismel Hernandez, 22, of Allentown, with misdemeanor fraudulent registration plate and summary fraudulent insurance card.
South Londonderry Township
Vehicle accident – At 11:50 a.m. Dec. 28, a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Palmyra female was stopped at a yellow light on Horseshoe Pike, facing west, when it was struck from behind by a motorcycle driven by a Palmyra man who was unable to stop abruptly due to wet roads. The motorcycle attempted to veer around the vehicle’s driver’s side and sideswiped the vehicle. The man sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Hershey Medical Center.
Simple assault, terroristic threats against police – At 6:01 p.m. Dec. 22, police charged Douglas Wiles, 55, of Palmyra, with simple assault (domestic violence-related), terroristic threats against police, institutional vandalism, and harassment after police were called to his home on the 100 block of Schoolhouse Road in Palmyra after Wiles allegedly struck a female in the face. Charges of terroristic threats against police and institutional vandalism stem from Wiles spreading feces throughout his jail cell as well as outside the cell.
Western Lebanon County Regional Police
Harassment – Around 2:24 p.m. Jan. 1, police responded to the 200 block of West Sheridan Avenue in Annville for a report of a domestic dispute. Police determined that a 50-year-old man grabbed and threatened to punch another person. On Jan. 2, a non-traffic citation was filed with MDJ Ditzler’s office, charging the man with summary harassment.
Arrest warrant served – Around 3:29 p.m. Jan. 11, police pulled over a black Toyota Corolla on the 100 block of East Main Street in Annville and identified the driver as Christopher Arnold, 39, of Lebanon. Police found that Arnold had an active arrest warrant out of the Pennsylvania State Police Philadelphia Barracks, with the original charge being drugs. Police took Arnold into custody and transported him to LCCB.
Drug possession – Charges of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia were filed against Kyle Crumlich, 38, after an incident at 12:47 p.m. Jan. 1 on the 00 block of West Main Street in Annville. During the incident, police found Crumlich to be in possession of methamphetamine.
Altered, forged, or counterfeit documents and plates – At 9:12 a.m. Jan. 1, police pulled over a vehicle on the 800 block of East Main Street in Palmyra for traffic violations, identified the driver as Martin Vann, 48, and found him to be operating his vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and no insurance and to be displaying a counterfeit license plate on his vehicle. Charges of misdemeanor altered, forged, or counterfeit documents and plates and four other summary traffic violations were filed against Vann.
Harassment – At 11:28 p.m. Jan. 4, police responded to the 00 block of North Railroad Street in Palmyra for an assault. Police identified the suspect who had fled prior to police arrival as a 25-year-old man and determined that the man struck another person with a fist to their left arm and wrist area while they were protecting their face. On Jan. 5, a non-traffic citation was filed with MDJ Ditzler’s office, charging the man with summary harassment.
Public drunkenness – At 12:30 a.m. Jan. 1, police responded to the 400 block of West Oak Street for a report of someone trying to break into a residence. Police made contact with a 36-year-old woman and found her to be manifestly under the influence of alcohol. On Jan. 4, a citation was filed with MDJ Ditzler’s office, charging the woman with summary public drunkenness.
Bad checks – On Dec. 13, police responded to Members 1st Federal Credit Union, 980 E. Main St., Palmyra, for a report of a bad check call. Police determined that Terry Bingaman, 66, of Palmyra, wrote a check knowing that it would not be honored. On Jan. 6, a criminal complaint was filed with MDJ Warner’s office, charging Bingaman with misdemeanor bad checks.
Tampering with evidence, hindering apprehension – Charges of misdemeanor tampering with evidence and misdemeanor hindering apprehension were filed against Samuel Humphries, 41, for an incident Nov. 26 on the 700 block of West North Avenue in Palmyra.
Tampering with evidence, accidents involving injury while not properly licensed – Charges of misdemeanor tampering with evidence, misdemeanor accidents involving injury while not properly licensed, and six other summary violations were filed against a 15-year-old male after an incident Nov. 26 on the 700 block of West North Avenue in Palmyra. Â
