City of Lebanon

Arrest warrant – On Jan. 30, police issued an arrest warrant against Jessica Waltman, 41, with the original charge being possession of a controlled substance.

Arrest warrant – On Jan. 27, police issued an arrest warrant against Fernando Nieves-Sanchez, 50, with the original charge being possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

Drug possession, public drunkenness – On Jan. 29, police charged Timothy Gunnells, 35, with possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness after police responded to a report of an unresponsive male on the 300 block of North 8th Street.

DUI, drug possession – On Jan. 28, police charged Raymond Gonzales, 46, with DUI-controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident on the 1100 block of Old Cumberland Street.

Receiving stolen property – On Jan. 25, police charged Timothy Root, 58, with receiving stolen property after he was found operating a stolen vehicle in the area of Hanover and Walnut streets.

Simple assault, harassment – On Jan. 27, Felix Kortright-Roman, 26, with simple assault (domestic violence-related) and harassment after police responded to a domestic disturbance incident on the 500 block of North 11th Street.

DUI, careless driving – On Jan. 25, police charged Christopher Moyer, 48, with DUI-controlled substance, accident involving damage to an attended vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and careless driving after a crash in the area of 9th and C&L streets.

Coffee with a Cop – The Lebanon City Police Department’s community outreach initiative, Coffee with a Cop, was a success, and the police department would like to express its appreciation to the Lebanon YMCA for hosting the event. The police department said it was great to see many locals taking the opportunity to engage with law enforcement personnel and enjoy a cup of joe! The department’s collaboration with the James Biever Police-Community Alliance was instrumental in making this event a reality. Cleona Borough

Vehicle accident, driving on roadways laned for traffic – At 11:45 p.m. Jan. 25, a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer was traveling east on East Penn Avenue when it left the road and sideswiped two parked vehicles, a 2025 Nissan Altima and a 2004 Suzuki. No injuries were reported. All vehicles sustained minor damage. Police charged the driver with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Heidelberg Township

Identity theft – At 3:05 p.m. Jan. 22, a 50-year-old Lititz man was notified via a credit report that his Social Security number was used to open a debit and credit card. The man is not out any money, and all accounts have been closed. The identity of the person who opened these accounts is unknown. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP Jonestown.

Fatal crash – At 12:53 p.m. Jan. 30, a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic driven by a 60-year-old Brownstown woman was traveling north on SR 501, and a 2020 Peterbilt driven by a 55-year-old Lords Valley man was traveling south on SR 501. As the Chevrolet was traveling north on SR 501, it failed to negotiate a right curve in the road, crossed the double yellow lines, and entered the opposing lane. The man was unable to bring the Peterbilt to a stop and struck the Chevrolet, causing disabling damage to both vehicles. The Chevrolet then struck a utility pole. The woman was wearing a seatbelt, sustained fatal injuries, and was pronounced dead at 1:38 p.m. at Good Samaritan Hospital. The man was wearing a seatbelt, sustained no injuries, and was provided an accident notice on the scene. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by CJ Wagner Towing. Schaefferstown Fire and EMS and PennDOT assisted on the scene.

Jackson Township

Vehicle accident – At 8:01 a.m. Jan. 27, a 2000 Ford Focus driven by a 25-year-old Myerstown man struck the rear of a 2005 Sterling Acterra driven by a 65-year-old Newmanstown man as it was stopped for the traffic signal on SR 422, just west of SR 645. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and sustained no injuries. The Ford was disabled, closing the eastbound lane for about 20 minutes. Myerstown Fire Police assisted on the scene with traffic control. Charges of careless driving against the driver of the Ford are pending.

Jonestown Borough

Gas station fire – At 8:43 p.m. Jan. 22, crews responded to the Citgo gas station, 122 Racehorse Drive, Jonestown, for a report of a fire. The fire quickly spread, and suppression was hampered due to construction and single-digit temperatures. No injuries were reported. A damage estimate is unavailable as of Jan. 27. The origin and cause of the fire are both unknown as of Jan. 27. No further criminal investigation is anticipated.

South Lebanon Township

DUI – Around 1:42 a.m. Dec. 17, 2024, police pulled over a vehicle on the 700 block of East Cumberland Street and determined that the driver, Nathan Reinbold, 19, was under the influence of alcohol. Following the receipt of his legal blood test results, police charged Reinbold with misdemeanor DUI-minor, summary purchase, consumption, or transportation of alcoholic beverages, summary restriction on alcoholic beverages, and summary driving while suspended.

Driving while suspended – On Jan. 9, police pulled over a vehicle on South Lincoln Avenue and determined that the driver, Efrain Lebron, 49, was driving while suspended (DUI-related) and that the inspection stickers being displayed on his vehicle were counterfeit. Police charged Lebron with misdemeanor driving while suspended (DUI-related, third or subsequent offense) and summary violation of use of certificate of inspection.

Sale or transfer of firearms – On Sept. 30, 2024, Nichole Harner, 29, attempted to purchase a firearm by providing false information at an establishment on the 1600 block of South Lincoln Avenue when she was not legally eligible to do so. Police charged Harner with felony sale or transfer of firearms.

Unsworn falsification to authorities – On July 22, 2024, Jami Bonilla, 42, attempted to purchase a firearm at an establishment on the 800 block of East Walnut Street when she was not legally eligible to do so. Police charged Bonilla with misdemeanor unsworn falsification to authorities.

Fleeing or attempting to elude officer, drug possession – Around 12:45 a.m. Jan. 4, police pulled over a vehicle on the 700 block of East Cumberland Street and identified the driver as Laurence Lopez-Mejia, 33, who accelerated and refused to stop for the officer. After a brief period, Lopez-Mejia exited the running vehicle and fled on foot. Police charged Lopez-Mejia with misdemeanor evading arrest or detention on foot, misdemeanor fleeing or attempting to elude officer, misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, summary registration and certificate of title required, and summary driving while suspended

South Londonderry Township

Found property – At 2 p.m. Jan. 28, someone turned in a key ring with 15 work keys and a tag labeled “TOM” from the intersection of Northside and Brookwood drives. Anyone with information regarding the key ring is asked to call 717-838-1376.

Western Lebanon County Regional Police

DUI, drug possession – Around 2:17 a.m. Dec. 7, 2024, police stopped a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and swerving on the 1200 block of East Main Street in Annville. Police observed the driver, Ronald Bennett II, 64, displayed indications of being intoxicated. Police also discovered that Bennett was in possession of marijuana. Bennett admitted to consuming alcohol and marijuana before being pulled over. Police charged him with five counts of misdemeanor DUI, misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana, and unlawful activities through MDJ Ditzler’s office.

Harassment – Around 9:30 a.m. Jan. 10, police responded to the 00 block of North Railroad Street in Palmyra for a report of an active domestic dispute and determined that a 52-year-old man grabbed another party and pulled out some of her hair. On Jan. 15, police charged the man with summary harassment through MDJ Warner’s office.

Simple assault, harassment – Around 3:22 a.m. Jan. 25, police responded to the 00 block of West Ridge Road in Palmyra for a physical domestic. Police arrested Rodney High, 33, for simple assault (domestic violence) and charged him with misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment.

Bench warrant served, drug possession – At 3:24 p.m. Jan. 20, police made contact with Jewlia Fawber, 25, on the 700 block of East Arch Street in Palmyra. Police knew Fawber had a bench warrant, with the original charge being unauthorized use of motor vehicle, and placed her under arrest. During the arrest, police found Fawber was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Police transported Fawber to LCCB on the bench warrant and filed a separate misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia against her on Jan. 21.
