The office of the Lebanon County Register of Wills & Clerk of Orphans’ Court will be open from 8 a.m. to noon this Saturday, March 22, to provide certified copies of marriage licenses and records to people who need them for passports or the upcoming May 7 Real ID deadline.

Anyone may come in to request the documents, as they are public records, according to a press release from county register/clerk Brian Craig. There is a fee of $10 for the service, although veterans and widows of veterans may get copies of their records for free.

The Recorder of Deeds office will also be open during the same hours on Saturday. Veterans can stop by to record their DD214, or Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty, and receive a Lebanon County veteran’s I.D. to be used for discounts at businesses throughout the county.

Both offices are located in the Lebanon County Municipal Building at 400 S. 8th St., Lebanon. The Register of Wills office is in room 105, and the Recorder of Deeds office is in room 107.

According to a previous report, the prothonotary’s office in room 104 will also be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday to assist individuals who want to get a passport. The Lebanon County Sheriff’s Office will be open at the same time to process applications for the Pennsylvania license to carry firearms permit.
