Editor’s Note: Michael and Nicole Borrell review Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. The couple aims to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to partner with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!

Welcome back everybody! We are rested after our 2025 LVFC March Madness. We’re glad most people had fun bragging about their favorite restaurants. Now we are ready to get back out and taste the Lebanon Valley.

We took the time during our weekly Saturday breakfast outings to stop by one of the recent participants of the Java Journey, Mill 72 Bake Shop & Cafe.

Located along Route 72 in North Cornwall Township, this standalone coffee shop offers a light breakfast and lunch menu, as well as drink and pastry selections. They offer an online ordering platform, or you can order at their counter. The cafe has several seating options, even on the busy mornings.

For our breakfast this morning, we got a slice of supreme quiche ($4.15) and the build-your-own breakfast sandwich ($4.95). Adding meat will add an additional $1.70 – $2.70 to the cost. Our choice today was a sausage, egg, and cheese on a waffle.

The quiche was fresh and the supreme includes both the meat and veggies. The crust was firm and flakey. The meat and veggies were chopped to the smaller side which gave a more balanced flavor throughout each bite. The little critic kept trying to steal some bites of this.

The breakfast sandwich came on two Eggo style waffles with three eggs and a sausage patty. I sometimes like to add a condiment to my sandwich, depending on my mood, but they didn’t have any today. I was hoping the sandwich came with a homemade waffle, but this style was good as it didn’t break apart while eating. This was a filling sandwich.

Our take: This coffee house is popular with its patrons and for good reasons. The coffee drinks are delicious and the few of the pastries we had in the past were delectable. The simple menu is prepared fresh and offered at a fair price. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is kind and courteous.

We give this place 🥓🥓🥓🥓.
