Editor’s Note: In 2021, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!
Welcome to the first season of the Valley Chicken Pot Pie Wars.
Three entrants from the Valley – The Filling Station, Country Fare, and The Quentin Haus – will compete to be declared the winner of Best Chicken Pot Pie in the Valley.

Our judgement was based upon several factors including ingredients, noodle quality, flavor, quality, presentation, and overall critic impression.
We conclude this “War” over on the east end of the Valley in Myerstown.
Country Fare Restaurant offers a Wednesday dinner special of all-you-can-eat chicken pot pie for $11.99.

Our bowl comes out with a heavy concentration of noodles. The noodles are a consistent size and thickness. There are slim offerings of carrot and finely chopped celery within. Same can be said for the potatoes, few and far between. The flavor is top notch and, to this critic, has that bright yellow color which all pot pie should have.

Did we just have the best Chicken Pot Pie in the Valley?
Now we will take some time and digest our dishes and discuss our scores. After which, we will make our decision.
