The office of Lebanon County District Attorney Pier Hess Graf released additional information Friday on the charges filed this week against 35-year-old Martin Deimler and 37-year-old Connie Deimler over allegations related to the death of their 6-day-old infant and the maltreatment of their toddler.
According to the news release, when Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched to the Deimlers’ house on the 00 block of Webster School Road on Dec. 12, 2025, it was “clear that the infant was deceased and beyond medical intervention.”
In an interview on-scene, both suspects acknowledged having received no prenatal care, no birthing care, and no medical care for the child after birth, the news release says.
The DA’s news release states that the couple did not attempt to obtain medical care for the infant despite the child showing signs of medical issues and having difficulty breathing.
“An autopsy revealed that had the child received minimal medical intervention, his life would have been spared,” says the release.
The DA’s release says that state troopers discovered during their investigation that the couple had another child who was not at the home and, after failing to make contact with the child, troopers directed the family to appear at a medical facility with the child.
“Upon arrival at a hospital, it was readily apparent that the toddler was in critical need of intervention,” says the release. The child was provided with medical care and placed into custody of Lebanon County Children and Youth Services.
The DA’s office says in the release that the couple are members of Faith Tabernacle Church and cited “similar issues in Berks County several years ago.”
According to court records, both parents will appear in front of Magisterial District Judge David R. Warner Jr. on June 4 for a preliminary hearing.
Anyone with information on the investigation is asked to contact state police.
