LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
Our Pet of the Week sometimes is a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the weekly column will spotlight an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.
This week, meet adoptable Gingerbread!
“This cute, fluffy-tailed guy came to us with a large wound on his back,” Taylor, at the Humane Society of Lebanon County, told LebTown. “After 4 months of quarantine, he is finally ready to find his forever home.”
Gingerbread has been in a foster home for the last four months, Taylor says, and he “loves to watch the birds and squirrels from the window.”
“He is a little shy at first and will probably hide at first and play hard to get in a new home but with time will come around and play. He likes to sleep by his favorite humans at night and will curl up on the couch with you when he feels comfortable with you.”
At his first home, Gingerbread has also grown close to Berlioz, another cat available for adoption through the Humane Society.
“Gingerbread’s favorite toys include crinkle balls and small bottle caps from water bottles,” Taylor says. “You will also find he loves balled up pieces of thread.”
If you are interested in adopting Gingerbread, please fill out the adoption application online at lebanonhumane.org or call the Humane Society at 717-628-1369 for more information.
