If your vehicle’s state inspection sticker expires in May, June or July, you can now schedule an appointment — beat the summer heat and keep your calendar cleared later on!
Pennsylvania law requires annual vehicle safety inspections and emissions testing for all registered vehicles. Putting off an expired inspection can result in penalties and, more importantly, may mean unsafe conditions go undetected.
Vehicles inspected annually may be inspected three months prior to when the current certificate of inspection is set to expire and still be issued a certificate of inspection to expire in the same month for the following year.
Family-owned Henise Tire has served Central Pennsylvania since 1957 and offers full safety inspections and emissions testing at two convenient locations — including its original location right here in Cleona at 558 E. Penn Ave.
During a safety inspection, certified technicians check brakes, steering and suspension, lights and electrical systems, tires and wheels, the exhaust system, windshield and wipers, horn and mirrors. Emissions testing measures carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides and evaporative system integrity using state-of-the-art equipment.
To prepare for an appointment, drivers should bring their current vehicle registration and proof of insurance, address any known issues such as dashboard warning lights or low tire pressure, and know their inspection due date.
Beyond inspections, Henise Tire also provides tire sales, balancing, rotation, alignment and suspension and transmission repair.
