Silver Ring Workshop at Drunken Smithy

“We will have rings and things and fine array!” This smaller ratio class will teach you to size, cut, form, texture, solder, and finish your own solid sterling silver ring in the size of your choosing.
Each workshop is a one-time, intensive, two-hour, hands-on course, and each participant can make one band. The workshop will take place regardless of the number of tickets sold. There is no minimum number of participants required. This is an introductory-level class. All experience levels are welcome. Instructors will help as much or as little as you’d like. All raw materials, gloves, safety glasses, and tools will be provided. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes or boots and have long hair tied back. Although we are called Drunken Smithy, please keep in mind that alcohol may not be consumed prior to or during this workshop.

Live Music with Six Bar Break at Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel

Six Bar Break is a full-throttle roots rock trio homed in Harrisburg, PA. Helmed by the group’s primary songwriter, Ben Bollinger, they’ve been spreading the word about the band throughout the mid-Atlantic and picking up new fans everywhere they go.
Their style and sound take a little bit of inspiration from yesterday and today, describing it as a modern fusion of roots, rock, and blues, but still uniquely original. They’re constantly driven to create something of their own — something built on the solos, riffs, and beats, glued together with a vocal begging to be heard, and a story ready to be told.
The band independently released their first EP in September 2016, “Echo Seven Nine,” and just completed production on their 2017 release, “Broken Road,” with Fred Pellegrini and Progressive Studios. St. Luke’s ‘You Are Loved – A Pride Service’ at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Lebanon, PA, will host “You Are Loved – A Pride Service” on Sunday, June 28, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a light luncheon. Resource tables from community organizations that serve LGBTQ+ people in the Lebanon area will be available at the luncheon.
This community service will reinforce that those who identify as LGBTQ+ are children of God who have a full and equal claim with all other persons to love and acceptance. The Rev. Anjel Scarborough of All Saints Episcopal Church in Hershey, PA, will lead the service. This is the fourth year that St. Luke’s has hosted this inclusive service.
A special choir is being formed to perform, made up of singers from throughout Central Pennsylvania. The Pride Choir will rehearse only once, on Sunday, June 28, at 9 a.m., at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. They will sing in the 10:30 a.m. service. No audition is required, but the organizers ask that singers register online at stlukeslebanon.org/pride. Community choirs and church choirs that support the ideals of Pride may join as a group. Fifth Annual Sevco 3v3 JAMfest Basketball Tournament at South Sixth Street Playground

The South Sixth Street Playground Association is proud to announce the return of the fifth annual Joseph P. Sevco Jr. Basketball Program, scheduled for July 16-17. This community-focused two-day hoopfest features a free youth basketball camp followed by the high-energy 3v3 JAMfest tournament under the lights of the Sevco Basketball Courts.
The festivities begin on Thursday, July 16, with the first day of the Sevco Youth Basketball Camp running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The camp is open to boys and girls in 3rd through 8th grades. Registration is free and includes a complimentary t-shirt and daily lunches.
On Thursday, July 16, the evening transforms into the Sevco 3v3 JAMfest Tournament. Team check-in begins at 5:30 p.m., with games tipping off at 6 p.m. The event will feature multiple age brackets, free-throw competitions, a live DJ, and local food trucks.
The youth camp concludes with a second session on Friday, July 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“These events continue the legacy of Joseph P. Sevco Jr. by providing a safe, positive environment for Lebanon’s youth to build skills and community,” said Sharon Zook, Playground Director.
Interested participants can register online via the South Sixth Street Playground Registration Portal. Spots are limited and typically fill quickly.
Suicide Loss Support Group at Compeer Office

The Lebanon County Suicide Prevention Task Force, in partnership with Empower the Mind and Compeer, hosts a free Suicide Loss Support Group each month. The event is held on the third Thursday of each month from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Compeer Office at 519 Chestnut St., Lebanon. This group offers a safe space for healing and is open to anyone 14 years or older.
Suicide loss is a different type of grief that can be isolating and confusing. You are not alone. Join us to be heard and understood.
