Come explore the Bear Hole Trail by car! This program is facilitated on Friday and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The self-guided drive-thru begins at Swopes Valley Trailhead (40.522343,-76.469334) and goes five miles through the center of the park, letting out at the Waterville Bridge (40.480822, -76.531559). There are four designated parking areas at the fossil pit, Daubert School, charcoal pit, and near Bordner Cabin, so you can get out and explore. The speed limit is 10 mph, and all traffic is one way. Last entrance is at 2:30 p.m.

Hummingbird Banding Demonstration at Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area

This group offers a safe space for healing and is open to anyone 14 years or older.
Suicide loss is a different type of grief that can be isolating and confusing. You are not alone. Join us to be heard and understood.

You are invited to attend the 104th annual Wenger Reunion to be held the weekend of Aug. 21-23. The historical meeting will be held on Friday, Aug. 21, at 7 p.m., at the Wenger Meetinghouse, 16 Supervisors Dr., Jonestown. The meeting will include a presentation entitled “Canal Days in the Tulpehocken” by Linda Manwiller of Myerstown. There is no charge to attend the meeting.
On Saturday, Aug. 22, we will hold a bus tour for the Hans and Hannah Wenger (G-line) family and their descendants. We will meet at the Wenger Meetinghouse at 8 a.m. and return at noon. On Saturday, Aug. 22, at 2 p.m., we have two presentations planned at the Wenger Meetinghouse: “The Life and Times of Blind Johnny Wenger (1843-1916) of Weaverland, PA” by Darvin Martin and “Samuel Wenger (1846-1914): Refugee from the Confederacy” by Tood K. Miller.

The Lebanon County Suicide Prevention Task Force, in partnership with Empower the Mind and Compeer, hosts a free Suicide Loss Support Group each month. The event is held on the third Thursday of each month from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Compeer Office at 519 Chestnut St., Lebanon. This group offers a safe space for healing and is open to anyone 14 years or older.
Suicide loss is a different type of grief that can be isolating and confusing. You are not alone. Join us to be heard and understood.
