Jackson Township

This collision occurred on July 31 at 7:50am as the pedestrian, a 71 year old Myerstown woman, was walking north in the business parking lot at Dutchway in Jackson Township toward the store and Unit 1, a 2011 Ford Escape, was traveling South in the parking lot when Operator #1, a 71 year old Myerstown man, began making a left turn toward a parking stall where Unit #1’s front struck the pedestrian. Unit #1 came to final rest at impact facing in a Southeast direction. The pedestrian was transported to Hershey Medical Center for Non-Life Threatening issues. Myerstown Fire Department and EMS assisted on scene.

North Cornwall Township

Carole L. Zentz, 56, Lebanon was charged with DUI and Reckless Driving after police responded for a person hitting a curb and driving erratically.

07/23/2019 22:37 (Tuesday) HIGHLAND GLEN – LEBANON
Police were called for a male smoking marijuana; A 19 year old Lebanon man was charged with False ID to Law Enforcement and Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

07/28/2019 22:05 (Sunday) 1600 BLK OF WALNUT ST – LEBANON
Traffic stop for heavily tinted windows; a 19 year old Lebanon man was charged with Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

07/28/2019 16:48 (Sunday) Cumberland Beverage Parking Lot
A Lebanon man backed into a 34 year old Lebanon man while he was waiting for another vehicle to back out of a parking space. Both vehicles had minor damage and were driven from the scene, no injuries reported.

07/27/2019 18:39 (Saturday) Rocherty Road @ Cornwall Road – LEBANON
A 26 year old Annville man was traveling eastbound on Rocherty Road through the Cornwall Road intersection. He did not see her 20 year old Annville woman stopped in traffic. He struck the rear of the woman. Both vehicle sustained minor/moderate damage and were driven from the scene. No injuries were reported.

07-29-2019 7:45 (Monday)
A 19 year old Shillington woman was charged with False reports for falsely reporting a vehicle accident to law enforcement.

07-29-2019 13:38 (Monday)
A 32 year old Lebanon woman was cited for North Cornwall Township Ordinance – Animals for allowing her two (2) dogs to run at large, around the neighborhood.

North Londonderry

North Londonderry Township Police Department filed charges against a 17 year old Harrisburg female for her involvement in an incident which took place at Wal-Mart on the above listed date and time. The juvenile female was charged with one (1) count of retail theft. The juvenile female failed to pay for a total of eighty-seven (87) items valued at seven hundred ninety two (792) dollars and sixty five (65) cents.

South Londonderry Township

The South Londonderry Township Police Department was dispatched on July 24 at 8:12pm to a motor vehicle collision in the 2400 block of Horseshoe Pike. The Police Department responded to find two vehicle involved. It was determined that a 71 year old Lebanon woman was traveling in a vehicle behind a 59 year old Lebanon woman. The older woman reportedly failed to bring her vehicle to a complete stop before striking the rear of the other woman’s vehicle. Both drivers and a juvenile passenger claimed no injury as a result of the collision. The 71 year old woman was cited with following too closely.

On July 15 at 9:44am, a two vehicle crash occurred when a 37 year old Berlin man operating a FedEx Truck was traveling down a hill on Mockingbird Lane and failed to stop at a stop sign. The man crashed into a moving vehicle operated by a 48 year old Palmyra woman who was traveling on Spring Road. She sustained burns from the accident. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

On July 15 a 63 year old Palmyra man reported someone attempted to enter his garage sometime between 7/8 and 7/15. As a result, there was damage sustained to his garage. Anyone with information is requested to contact the South Londonderry Township Police at 717-838-1376.

This one vehicle accident occurred on July 13 at approximately 11:56am in the 1400 block of Mt. Wilson Road. The driver of the Harley Davidson stated she tried to avoid striking an animal on the roadway and lost control of the motorcycle. She was transported by Lawn EMS to the Hershey Medical Center for injuries to her left leg and left shoulder.

Union Township

This crash occurred on July 31 at 1:41pm as Unit 1, a 2014 Mack Truck CXU613 driven by a 36 year old Selinsgrove man, was traveling I-81 N. in the area of Mile Marker 92.3. A temporary construction zone was set up with signs indicating the left lane was closed ahead. Operator 1, who was operating a tractor trailer, failed to see Unit 2, a 2015 Infiniti Q50 driven by a 72 year Richmond, VA woman, slowing to a stop for traffic. Initial impact occurred when Unit 1 struck the rear of Unit 2, causing damage to both units. After initial impact Unit 1 struck a guide rail and jack knifed as it came to a final rest outside of the eastern shoulder. Both Operator 1 and Operator 2 received minor injuries during the crash. Operator 2’s passengers were also treated for minor injuries. H and S Towing assisted with towing both units from the scene. Operator 1 was cited for VC3361 Driving Too Fast for Conditions. Assisted on scene by First Aid Safety and Patrol and Lebanon County Department of Emergency Services Hazmat Team.
