Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Poplar Run Retirement Community in Myerstown (part of StoneRidge Retirement Living Communities, Inc.) is hiring for full-time and part-time, all shifts Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to take great care of our residents.
A CNA is responsible for caring for our residents. The role:
- Assists residents with personal care needs based on their wishes and routine as well as their care planned interventions
- Performs non-specialized tasks such as bathing, dressing, hygiene, toileting and feeding
- Makes beds
- Positions residents for comfort, using cushions and supportive devices, as needed
- Provides preventative skin care
- Assists residents with ambulation, transfers and frequent changes in position
- Prepares residents for meals and provides care after the meal
- Uses mechanical lifts per the resident transfer/lift forms and per facility policy and procedure
- Uses gait belts for any ambulatory resident requiring contact guard assistance or greater unless care planned otherwise
- Checks on residents frequently, especially those who are unable to call for help or communicate their needs

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Poplar Run and Towne Centre Retirement Communities in Myerstown (part of StoneRidge Retirement Living Communities, Inc.) are hiring for LPNs in all shifts full-time and part-time to take great care of our residents.
A licensed practical nurse provides basic nursing duties to our residents. The role coordinates and communicates as a resident advocate to the physician. The LPN also oversees the nurse aides of all resident care and demonstrates good communication skills with resident families and team members. Candidates are required to work every other weekend and every other holiday and will assist with medication administration as part of their daily responsibilities. An active LPN license and CPR Certification is required.

A licensed registered nurse works to promote resident health using assessment skills. The role coordinates and communicates as a resident advocate to the physician. The RN also oversees the licensed nurses and nurse aides of all resident care and serves as a nursing administration designee. Candidates are required to work every other weekend and every other holiday and will assist with medication administration as part of their daily responsibilities. An active RN license and CPR Certification is required.

Zoar Lutheran Church
Pianist
Pianist needed for one church service every Sunday and occasional special services.
Pianist needed for one church service every Sunday and occasional special services. This position will be open beginning in mid-August. We use the green Lutheran Book of Worship. Those familiar with or willing to learn this music would be preferred. A prelude, offertory, hymns, and liturgy will be played by the pianist every week. Please contact Pastor Bennett Harris for more information at 717-639-4642. There is currently no choir, but interest is there to eventually gather and sing again. The church also has an organ that is available to be played, if possible.
