LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.

This week, meet Pippin!

Pippin is a black Lab and pointer mix. According to his owner, Wes Smith, he’s not named for one of J.R.R. Tolkien’s hobbits, but rather the black Lab that was eaten by the shark in “Jaws.” (Eww!)

Wes said his pup is 13 years old, and was rescued some eight years ago.

“I got him for my mom for companionship after my dad died,” Wes explained. “He loves walks in Jonestown Park and greeting customers at Valley Cigars.”

If you see Pippin, be sure to say hello … and keep a wary eye out for sharks!
