LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.

The Pet of the Week sometimes features a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the column spotlights an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.

This week, meet adoptable Smidge!

Smidge, says Pitties.Love.Peace rep Mika Stiefel, is a 7-year-old male who is “smart, playful, cuddly” and “will tap dance for food.”

It is, Mika says, a “split decision between bones and napping on which is his favorite thing,” and he can be “vocal when excited or when the Amazon man arrives with what Smidge ordered. He also “rolls on his back and sounds like an alligator when he’s really happy.”

Smidge is housebroken and can be trusted to free roam when his humans aren’t around, she says. “His crate is definitely not his happy place, but he has been doing well in an Impact crate while in his foster home,” she adds. He is friendly with other dogs, or he would be content as the solo king of your castle. His attitude toward cats is unknown, but he can be formally tested for an approved applicant.

Smidge is looking for a patient family with a lot of love and a forever home to give to this sweet boy, Mika says. If you think Smidge could be a fit for your household, please click over to pittieslovepeace.com to submit your online application.
