Our judgement will be based upon several factors including style of quality, portion, taste, and overall impression. We will be judging two breakfast dishes from each restaurant.

We continue our first season down in the mountain of lower Lebanon Valley. Nestled amongst the tall trees of Mount Gretna sits Porch & Pantry. This restaurant serves breakfast & brunch, with inside and patio seating.

The menu is seasonal and includes several favorites, including omelets, quiches, and pancakes, as well as several vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Our selection for judgement this morning is the Left Coast Enchilada ($15.50) and McSticky ($15.50).

The enchilada comes with scrambled eggs, house potatoes, crispy bacon, and cheddar jack cheese in a flour tortilla and topped with a southwest hollandaise and cilantro. This enchilada is full-size. The hollandaise sauce has a good southwest flavor. The potato-to-protein ratio was a little imbalanced; we always love more bacon. The fresh cilantro does add a next level flavor to the bite.

The McSticky is a house sticky bun with scrambled eggs, bacon, and cheddar jack cheese, served with house potatoes. We were lucky to get this one, it sounded like we got the second to last sticky bun of the day. A classic breakfast sandwich, it will be sticky to pick up, but makes for a delicious bite that is well balanced between sweet and savory. Midway through we did need to use a fork and knife to eat it.

Their homemade hot sauce, which is found on each table, goes well on the potatoes.

Did we just have the best breakfast in the Valley?

Next up we will travel to our final entrants: Lebanon Valley Craft Brewery. After which, we will announce our winner.
