Man, does it feel like it’s been a long while since we had a chance to do one of our regular reviews. The summer season has been a busy one for the critic crew.
Case in point, we had just gotten back from Florida and were not in the mood for cooking dinner. We decided to head out north to popular spot amongst the “Vikings” of the Northern Lebanon region.
Located along Fisher Avenue, just off the FTIG base, sits Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill. This stand-alone restaurant offers bar room, dining and deck seating with a wide menu of burgers, wings, and dinner entrees and daily specials.

For our dinner tonight we chose the Farm Burger w/fries ($18.50), little Rack of Ribs w/baked potato and side salad ($19.99), the kid’s chicken fingers w/fries ($6.99), and a bowl of French onion soup ($6).

The farm burger comes with cheddar jack cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and an over-easy egg on sourdough bread. This thinner patty came with two slices of tomato and a light covering of mayo. The burger tasted good, and the sourdough came with an evenly grilled crisp.

The ribs were the special this evening and came with some extra sauce on top. The meat fell off the bone, but the temp of our ribs was warm. The meat was flavorful and had a crispy edge that was well seasoned.

Our French onion soup came adorned with scallions, a heavy amount of cheese and a single large crouton inside. Rich with flavor, this soup hit the spot, even on a hot day.

Our take: This restaurant is a local favorite, and we can see why. The menu has a lot to offer for anyone in your party. The soups make for a great start to your meal and are freshly made. The quality of the food is top notch. The deck is one of the best in the area.
