As communities across the country celebrate National Library Week this April with the theme “Find Your Joy,” the Lebanon County Library System is using the moment as a springboard to introduce a new countywide campaign titled “Much More Than Books.” The campaign invites residents to rediscover their libraries and find what brings them joy.
While many people still think of libraries primarily as places to borrow books, Lebanon County’s six libraries—Annville Free Library, Lebanon Community Library, Matthews Public Library in Fredericksburg, Myerstown Community Library, Palmyra Public Library, and Richland Community Library—work together as a unified system designed to make access as easy and flexible as possible.

One library card opens the door to all six locations and online resources. Residents can check out materials from any library in the system and return them to whichever location is most convenient. The same is true for programs and services. Whether it’s a workshop, a children’s event, or a technology class, community members are welcome to attend programs at any library, regardless of where they live within the county.
By building awareness of the wide range of free services already available, the Library System hopes more residents will come to see the library not just as a place they visit occasionally, but as a resource they can rely on year-round.
