Lebanon City Police are seeking the public’s help to reconstruct events surrounding a series of gun shots fired around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5.

According to a department release, police were dispatched to investigate reported gun shots fired at 225 East Cumberland Street.

They arrived to discover evidence of gun shots, including empty bullet casings, as well as evidence of injury, such as blood inside and outside the residence. Police said no one was found at the residence.

The release states that police were simultaneously informed of a 28 year old Lynn, MA male victim with an apparent gunshot wound at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital.

Police said the victim suffered the non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg while inside 225 East Cumberland Street.

The victim – who has not been charged with any crime and whose name LebTown is not including in accordance with our policy of not identifying victims – was not forthcoming with information regarding the incident, according to the police statement.

Police said the man was later transported to another medical facility where he was treated and released.

In the statement, police said they believe the location or occupants were specifically targeted and that this was not a random act.
