Editor’s Note: In 2021, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!

On our way home from our weekly breakfast date, we got a chance to stop by a sweet shop that has piqued our interest for some time. Located at the corner of east Main Street and Chestnut Street in Palmyra, Sweet Velvet Macarons offers what the name implies: macarons!

Offering a rotating menu of flavor selections, you will be sure to find one to satisfy your sweet tooth. They can be found at a couple of local coffee shops in addition.

Today we chose a box of six ($12) with dragon fruit mango, tiramisu, crème brulee, lemon bar, churro, and frosted circus animal cookie. Personally, I am a big macaron fan. It’s hard to find good ones around the Valley. It’s even harder to find a variety of flavors.

Sweet Velvet offers a high-quality macaron. The intense sweet filling paired with the crispy shell makes for a delectable treat. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a few. You could bring some into work and become a favorite amongst your coworkers.
