Editor’s Note: In 2021, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!

Welcome to the third season of our highly anticipated Lebanon Valley “Wing Wars.” Four entrants from across the Valley will compete, bracket style, to be declared the winner of Best Wing in The Valley.

We traveled around and had some great wings at our four entrants. We did have to change one of our entrants midseason, which resulted in a late entry to our war.

This is one of our favorite wars. I mean, who doesn’t love a good wing night. And each of these spots did not disappoint. So, before we announce a winner, let’s review our season.

A brief recap of our stops

Sinkhole Saloon: Large wings with even crisp throughout, served with sauces that are nearly all made in house.

Keener Poultry: Crispy wings in which the rub is cooked into the chicken meat.

Franklin House Tavern: Large, crispy wings accompanied with homemade ranch/blue cheese.

Greek Town Pizza: Very crispy wings using high-quality chicken.

A champion is crowned

And our winner for Season 3 is Sinkhole Saloon. The large wings with their even crispiness makes this a top spot. Add in the house made wing sauces and this made it a clear winner in our eyes.
