LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
Our Pet of the Week sometimes is a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the weekly column will spotlight an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.
This week, meet adoptable Arthur!
Arthur, according to a spokesperson at the Humane Society of Lebanon County, is a terrier mix who’s estimated to be over 10 years old. He “came to us as a stray in need of some tender loving care,” the shelter rep explained.” After a well-deserved spa day and grooming, he’s already feeling much better.”
Arthur is blind, the shelter noted, “so he’ll need a patient and understanding foster or adopter to help him adjust to a new home and routine. A busy kennel isn’t the right place for a gentle senior like him.”
The Humane Society tells LebTown that Arthur is “a sweet and gentle guy” who “enjoys being with his people.”
This apricot-colored cutie is loyal, gentle, and friendly, his profile explains. He’s house-trained, neutered, and fully vaccinated.
“He likes affection and prefers relaxed, easygoing walks. With the right guidance, he’ll settle into a home where he feels safe and supported! He would do best with dog-savvy children ages 5 and up who can interact with him gently.”
Arthur also may do well with another calm dog who can help him navigate his surroundings, and he has the potential to live with a cat with slow, proper introductions.
If you think Arthur could be a fit for your household, please fill out the adoption application online at lebanonhumane.org or call the Humane Society at 717-628-1369 for more information.
