LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.

The Pet of the Week sometimes features a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the column will spotlight an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.

This week, meet adoptable Mateo!

Mateo is available for adoption from Pitties.Love.Peace.

Mateo, according to Pitties.Love.Peace rep Mika Stiefel, is a 10-month-old male who is “social, affectionate, and sweet” and has a “gorgeous brindle coat.”

He’s also a snuggle champion, she says, and he loves to dispense free kisses! Mateo “enjoys people of all ages” — he “can be timid at first,” Mika says, “but warms up quickly.”

Meet Mateo!

Mateo “loves his toys and will chase a ball for as long as you’ll keep throwing it,” she adds. He’s dog-friendly and “full of positive energy, so other dogs should be tolerant of his puppy antics, or he could be content as your one and only.” Got a cat? No worries, Mateo is kitty approved!

This gorgeous boy is looking for an active family committed to ongoing training and socialization to keep him on track to being his very best through his adolescence. If you think Mateo could be a fit for your household, please click over to pittieslovepeace.com to submit your online application.

Upside-down Mateo is available for adoption from Pitties.Love.Peace.
